> On my 74 lebaron, the right headlight door shuts too > tight and the left > one doesn't shut enough. My 73 had the similar problems. There are springs that are flat metal wound into a concentric spiral that are on the headlight door-end of the driveshafts that come from the center mounted motor. The springs on mine were not even, and only one door was closing, plus didn't always want to open without a kickstart from my fingers on the manual actuator knob that opens the doors manually. I removed one spring, halving the load on the motor, and Voila! You may also have one spring wound one turn more than the other, shutting the one tightly but the other not strong enough to do so. This is probably the area to be fiddling around in. The motor gets sticky with disuse, so if your car has set for awhile, expect a ramp-up in motor efficienvy as it gets freed up. Mine didn't work at all when I got it, and I moved it manually for a few days (no spare motor). Moving it freed it up and it has worked well since. ===== Kenyon Wills 6o LeBaron - America's Most Carefully Built Car 73 LeBaron - Long Low & Luxurious __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
