Steve, Yes. As I said earlier, our original caps had a
small disc that dangled when installed, venting pressure until system
expansion forced it closed. As soon as the system cooled enough to lower the
pressure the disc would open preventing vacuum from forming. That action
prevents the movement of coolant from the overflow to the radiator. Basic
