Have you thought about Electic thermo fans?

Here in Australia, alot of the older cars are now using late model twin thermo fans with much sucsess.

The only draw back is that you would have to update your alternator to about 80 amps.

It does not look original, but could you sit in the traffic on a HOT DAY without overheating any other way?

I can sent you an Ebay link if interested?

Jim

I second Ron's opinion, they really flatten out when you rev them up, therefore they scoop less air at high rpms using up less horsepower than the stock fixed fan. Some believe it is still more desirable to have a fan clutch instead, though. Depends on what your wallet is I guess, the flex fan tends to be cheaper. ----- Original Message ----- From: Ronald Nies<mailto:383man@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Flex fan pulls good at low rpm's but flex's out at higher rpm to help make more hp then a standard fan blade. And at higher rpm's the car is moving fast enough that the rad has enough air over it so the flex fan can flatten
out and the car wont run hot but makes more hp. Ron
