Carl, What photo's are you referring to? My hose fits fine, would you like me to send you the pictures I just took? Bob J From: C Bilter [mailto:cbilter@xxxxxxxxx] Based on the photos I saw it doesn’t look right to me. Like Bob H said, it is an aftermarket hose not designed to go over the ram. Bob J got it to work by routing over the ram, but the sector end fitting doesn’t look like it was designed to attach that way, but what we really need is a photo of an original ram hose to be sure. Anybody got one? With duct tape and a quart of P.S. fluid, we cruised the 10 miles home just fine, although the engine compartment was an unholy mess. I called and spoke with either Gary Goers or Bob Hayen - response was that Gary wasn't stocking these hoses anymore, and that they were available more inexpensively through auto parts stores. I picked up a replacement at Napa, and installed it, incorrectly, under the ram. In retrospect, I should have kept the old hose because, by the look of the uniformly deteriorated rubber, it was likely the 53-year old original. So I see Bob J's comment about purchasing Gary's hose in '11, and also that Gary is stocking them now, but don't know if his current inventory is factory original design. I can forward to those in need. Bob J From: David Schwandt [mailto:finsruskw@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Some close-up pictures (Why can’t we bring this list server into the 20th century???) would really be helpful here of each end and the routing. I think a lot of the problem is the orientation of both ends into the reducer. you might have to give the line that goes into the pump a gentle tug to get it to not hit the battery tray . but all in all it works! bob
