Based on the photos I saw it doesn’t look right to me. Like Bob H
said, it is an aftermarket hose not designed to go over the ram. Bob J got
it to work by routing over the ram, but the sector end fitting doesn’t
look like it was designed to attach that way, but what we really need is a photo
of an original ram hose to be sure. Anybody got one?

hose
Hello Group,
While out with my wife for a short summer's evening ride in July 2013, my
hose blew. With duct tape and a quart of P.S. fluid, we cruised the 10 miles
home just fine, although the engine compartment was an unholy mess. I called and
spoke with either Gary Goers or Bob Hayen - response was that Gary wasn't
stocking these hoses anymore, and that they were available more inexpensively
through auto parts stores. I picked up a replacement at Napa, and installed it,
incorrectly, under the ram. In retrospect, I should have kept the old hose
because, by the look of the uniformly deteriorated rubber, it was likely the
53-year old original. So I see Bob J's comment about purchasing Gary's hose in
'11, and also that Gary is stocking them now, but don't know if his current
inventory is factory original design.

Once over the ram, it needs to go nearly straight down with a slight bend in the tube to drop into the sector IIRCC. And the tube bend on the pump end needs to be closer to the pump to avoid interference w/the battery tray.
