[FWDLK] Lost the Brakes

Hello everyone,

Well, Friday night, Jason's breaks went out. Luckily,
he was in a parking lot and remembered what I taught
him about using the parking brake if that ever
happened - no accidents :-).

Saturday, I found a worn out break line (the flexible
one on the front wheel). After quite a long time and
several problems, I was able to get it off (pretty old
fitting). I'm not sure if I did the right thing by
un-screwing the end from the back side of the wheel or
if I should have taken off the cylinder from inside
the wheel first. I also had to remove the little
bleed valve so I could get a wrench on the break line
(funny angle, and I couldn't get a good hold with the
wrench) I finally cut the line and slipped a socket on
over the end which, after many hammer hits, finally
loosened.

It is now Sunday and I'm on my way to NAPA. I don't
know how successful I'll be in locating a new line,
but if I find one, I'll definately get two (one for
the other side) and a new bleed valve (which was
wrecked in removal (had to use a vice grip).

If I didn't hurt anything taking off the line from the
wheel (without taking anything apart inside the wheel)
I should be able to get it back together without too
much problem.

Any thoughts??
Thanks

Joe and Jason (one thing after another)
