Ok Folks,
We need to do a few things to help us all get
along..
Everyone needs to Lighten up!
When Tony started this list and people would write
messages that led to disagreements, he said, "email is
a lously way to communicate"
by that he meant there is no way to show a nod or a
wink of the eye or a smirk and very easy to take
offense where none was implied.
Add to that the VAST differences in our 6-700 members
from all over the globe and political, ethnic,
religious, sexual orientation, etc. etc. etc.
I would like us all to go back to the time tested rule
that I was raised with..
IF YOU CAN'T SAY SOMETHING NICE, DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT
ALL"
Treat others with respect and remember 99.9% of us are
here because we love these cars and there may not be
ANY OTHER imperial fans in our town or city so we
gather here to share and help one another and for
support in our obsession!
I do not want to see any more nit-picking about
messages. On the other hand, I think what caused the
issue is the contiual number of one line, personla
messages or messages that we can not understand so
that is one more request I have, try to write as
clearly and concise as possible. I know that is
especially tough for folks from other countries with
different dialects or for people for whom english is a
second language.
I myself am a LOUSY typist. Old enough that there
were no computers in my school experinece and I
certainly did not waste any time in a lowly typing
class! ;-)
So lets try to help and support one another, follow
the rules and if you have a question ask it as clearly
as possible so others may help you!
