Re: IML: JVX transmission adapters

The Gear Vendors is supposed to be able to handle all the power and is a lot closer to a bolt in than the 518. My problem is that the o/d is only .78. The 518/500 is .69. I want as much o/d as I can get. I prefer a big drop because I only want the o/d for mpg. Don't care about "gear splitting" especially on a car that pulls like a train from idle. I'm eventually going to try to drop a 500 in one of my Imperials. They are small block cars and the 904 based 500 has a steeper 1st gear and is a little smaller than the 518. There are a couple of guys on Moparts that have done it to 5th Avenues, so I won't be the first, plus I have another Imperial in case I screw it up.
