And that's my problem with these smog regulations and mandatory testing.
They are harsh and strict with older cars like my Imperial that people just
have fun collecting, restoring, and driving for pleasure every once in a
while. Whereas they are quick to throw a waiver at a new car that's pumping
out way more pollutants than my Imperial, and is driven 95% more often. I
believe the laws and regulations surrounding mandatory smog testing need
some serious retooling. I don't necessarily disagree with the concept, but
I think the focus is misguided. but this is a discussion for another forum.
