IML: Vlad & Richard's Imperial projects

Welcome to the list! Vlad, Yes-thank's for your service. My stepson served in the Marines for 8 years. Your 5 speed idea is most interesting, and it is your car, however, one of the unique factors of the 55 -early 60's Imperials was the pushbutton drive- a for runner of console auto shift control, and the modern 'paddle shifts' in high end Sports/Exotic cars. There are a few folks in Europe with Jensen Interceptors (383 & 440 drivetrains) that have also done 5 & 6 speed and rear end conversions. Keep us posted on your challenges & progress.

Richard- If your rack weeps a bit after swapping hoses and a feeral Mogel pump rebuild kit- try Lucas Power Steering stop leak. Its really helps. I've used it on the Jensen & Jags. The Jensen has a Chrysler pump and an Adwest jag type rack.
