IML: 2 issues to deal with on 66 Imp

The car feels like its bucking and it backfires> a bit not loudly,kinda coughs and acts sluggish or even races.. there's a rebuilt carb and new fuel pump on it ..Any ideas? Issue 2 the pass door will not open no matter what I do.. any thoughts or remedies?
