Re: Proportioning Valve for disc brake conversions

I installed the Doctor Diff 10.95 Front disc brake kit to fit my stock 14 inch rims,
they supplied the proportioning valve and master cylinder
They are in Montana, phone 406-883-4772

Hi, and thank you for the replies.  Are any of the persons that replied using manual brake systems?  As in manual disc/ manual drum combos?

Same here. I use late B-body or F/M/J body proportioning valves on all my disc brake swaps.

I went the u pullit way. Volare spindles, large Cordoba pin calipers and I put a prop valve from 77 Chrysler. New rotors, calipers. Less than 300 10 years ago. I stayed all Mopar rather than spend a K on real brakes. Just old school that works juat as well

I believe wilwood makes them.  ssbc may make something I know they have adjustable bias valves. You have to make sure your master is correct. If you still have your 4 wheel drum master that is not up to the task, the brakes will never feel right. I believe both companies I said have a master combo valve setups you can choose.

Subject: Proportioning Valve for disc brake conversions

Hello All,

I wanted to know if anyone knows of a fixed proportioning valve, versus adjustable, for my car.

It was a factory 4 wheel manual drum.
I have the dual manual master cylinder  ( though I think it isn’t capable of satisfying my new front discs.)

So I now have manual front discs and manual rear drum.

Does anyone make a straight proportioning valve for my application?

Thanks in advance,
