So far here's what's been ruled out:

- Cam timing

- Vacuum leak

- Wiring / firing order

- Distributor

- ECU

I am going after the Eddy carbs this weekend, starting over with the basics, e.g. float settings, mixture screws and working my way into step-up springs and jetting.

I'll fill you in...
