You've come this far.  Fix it and see what it'll do !  You can do that
street/hiway stuff next year.  You will always wonder what it could
have done .....

On my 361 I was told to put a little red silicone on the header bolts
as they go into the water jacket.  Don't know if yours are the same,
but if you have heli coils in there I wouldn't think they would seal
very well?
