An even cleaner look is to remove the heater pipe nipples and plug the holes with pipe fitting thread plugs.
-- But really, on these old engines, the pipe nipples may not come out. When I removed the heater from my hot rod Coronet, I tried removing the heater hose nipples from the water pump housing and ended up screwing them because they would not come out. It was a great excuse to buy a new aluminum water pump housing and aluminm water pump for my 440 engine. Ben Morgan 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 1964 Dodge Polara 2-dr HT 1954 Ford F-100 (Granpa's Truck)
