Re: Poll: Electronic Ignition, Pertronix or Points

Here is my plan. I don't want any absolutely necessary wiring in the engine compartment and want the look of pre- electronic ignition. So I have a completely rebuilt dist. for a 1964 413 engine. I want to do some advance curve mods to it and use the Pertronix IgniterIII with built in rev limiter. I will use their recommended coil in black . They claim it is multi spark, but how can it be without that MSD box?.................MO

I agree....I installed the pertronix unit in mine and had the same problem with my coil, so if you switch to pertronix go with a hotter coil..

My vote is for PerTronix.EASY to install, and hidden w/ no
brain box to hide.

My recent troubles look like they are due to a bad
coil...not the ignition unit.
