Well, the memory ant going bad on me, all I know is what I physically had in
my car and drove for 10 years after the swap. But, If you say I didn't I
guess I didn't. What other rear end did Chrysler have that was a front load?
And that's what it was!!! Funny, last night at a get together a fellow had a
440 powered Demon and stated that their was NEVER a big block A-Body from
the factory.

This subject really is off topic for the 62 - 65 forum so I am done!!

Good luck with those photos.
There was NEVER an A-body 8 3/4 with the 4.5 pattern, I don't care what your
friend bought.
ALL 4.5 bolt cars were 7.25 or 8.25 rears. Some 73-76 cars even came with
the 4.0 bolt pattern(drum brake cars only).
With all due respect, your memory is dropping a cylinder on this one.

Dan;

I hate to be this bold but, Auto Hobby Digest is wrong!! Because the car I

got my parts from was new and I did all the work on it from the day it
left
the dealers lot. The night he got the car we pulled the 3:23 pumpkin out &

put 4:11 pumpkin back in, so I know it was factory 8.75 with 4.5 bolt
pattern! I distinctly remember being sooo envious being able to use real
wheels. (-; Also a racing friend of mine had a 67 Dart that he did the
same swap and if my memory is correct he got his from a 74 360 Demon. Just

the facts as I know them! Now I am going to have to hit a few junk yards
and get photos!!
