I had manual front dics's on a 75 Swinger years back and even though
the pedal always required additional effort over a power system, it
was not excessive and the car would would stop quite well. Even though
the front drums on my Coronet stop SURPRISINGLY well, I'm considering
doing the swap myself and going w/ a manual disc setup.
