I think about that stuff all the time.I always think of the things my
car has seen.Perhaps even a litle love-making in the back seat at some
makeout spot in , say , 1966, before somebody had to ship out to
Vietnam, the car borrowed from mom and dad, or the sacks of groceries in
the trunk it has carried, the storm of cusssing coming from under the
hood when some guy had as much trouble getting to that certain bolt as I
did , or a certaIN HAPPY FAMILY VACATION SPENT IN THE CAR.
The other day i was looking at my 64 thinking that i am only one year
older than the car, i thought "man, do i look that old, that car
   looks definitely dated and old?"
I really feel these ghosts when I am walking thru a junkyard,
sometimes i swear i see dark shapes flitting from wreck to wreck.
