Hi Carl, JC took my existing ’63 Fuel gauge and rebuilt it. They did the solid state conversion incl. limiter. $259.33 including shipping. Regards, Mark From: Carl Bilter <cbilter@xxxxxxxxx> Typically, the gauge responds slowly. It should not immediately go to full. For 1963 the voltage limiter is housed in the fuel gauge. It could be a limiter problem. JC offers internal solid state conversions for the limiters for an extra fee. Did you have that done on this gauge? Also, try it with a warm engine and see if the temp gauge rises and falls in unison with the fuel gauge. If so, it's the limiter. Original fuel sender or replacement? The new ones will never give a correct gauge reading, but should should still be stable for a given amount of fuel.
