Re: [Chrysler300] 440 Engines and Cross Rams

My F came with a 440 when I bought it in '96. Kept that when rebuilt in '15. Outside difference is 4 bolt vs 6 bolt valve covers, but the 4's from the 413 hardly leaked over 30,000+ miles. Others will know more about internal differences. Mine is a'67 375hp block. Car is way more fun to drive than my E with 413. I am nowhere near my car or mechanic to help much further. Go for it!

remember this, the tides of marching onward and upward are often
hampered by the special crossram cam needing special attention
to the CAM TIMING as others have oft repeated in this forum.

Typing that, someone 15 or so years ago added FI bungs to a set
of crossram mannyfolds and made that run.

the 440 block has been done several times with cross rams, the extra
cubics dont hurt as I understand it.
