Yes, happened to me. Never even drove on them. Rock Auto replaced it for free. I think the extended length of this shock is shorter than the original, causing extra stress on the seal when the car is lifted. When the car is on the lift, you need to raise the rear end up a lot with a tranny jack to attach the shock. Both cars have been run only a few miles since the shock installation. When I jacked up the wheels off the ground to change transmission fluid, at least one of the two rear shocks on each car leaked out a noticeable amount light oil either when the car was up in the air or when I let the cars back down off the jack stands. That canâ??t be right. Seems to have something to so with the shock being fully extended. Does that mean the cylinders blew? Anyone else have this issue with recently purchased KYBs? Front shocks (KYB 4507) did not have this problem. > > Carl Bilter > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > ------------------------------------ To send a message to this group, send an email to: Chrysler300@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to bob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx or go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/Chrysler300/join and select the "Leave Group" button For list server instructions, go to http://www.chrysler300club.com/yahoolist/inst.htm For archives go to http://www.forwardlook.net/300-archive/search.htm#querylangYahoo!
