RE: [Chrysler300] 300C Power Seat rebuild

Hi Henry,

I have been off the air for a while.

If you mean the black plastic track side covers I have a spare set.

Subject: [Chrysler300] 300C Power Seat rebuild

I am trying to rebuild my power seat "slave" gearboxes. The diecast
mounts
were broken out on the originals and the replacement ones I got had
started
to bend and crack. The housing is obviously a weak design for the high
forces involved and I suspect all used ones are broken or on their way
out.
I think I have figured out a possible way of reinforcing the gearbox
with
some extra bolts tapped into the frame underneath. However, before I
launch
into that, I thought I'd ask if anyone knew a source for good gearboxes
or
had developed a fix that held the gearboxes better.

Also, if anyone has a good set of plastic? covers that go around the
sides
of the seat cushion, let me know. (Gary Goers doesn't have them) I have
the 58? chrome ones if all else fails.

Thanks
