Re: {Chrysler 300} 1962 Astrodome - Final Ask...I hope!

Thank you ALL for helping and responding!
Turned out the inner frame with the indicator boomerang cutouts required me to gently push back a bit on that in order for the dome to drop into place. Whew!
Now I can hook the wires all up and move on!
Thank you!

Question….
Is there ANY adjustment in the lower chrome band that the dome seats in?  I cannot, for the life of me, get the rear most part of the dome/gauges to seat down. I know this as I cannot see the odometer as it is blocked by the charge cluster.

Wondering if the chrome band can be located a bit lower in its fitting to the metal dash?

Thanks!

I hate this part of the 1962 restoration game….!
But I am very close!!!!

Speedometer in place.
Metal frame, with indicator arrows in place (in between speedometer & dome & the ground wire a part of it).
Astradome (dome lens + all instruments) in place; sort of…..

The Instrument Cluster needs to rock back...
To become flat & level in its final position.
As it sits now; the Odometer is not as visible as it is supposed to be.

I have pulled downward on the chrome band to get the entire assembly to try & seat better.
(To no avail)

I have tried to gently rock the assembly left / right / fore / aft.
(To no avail)

I have tried to thread in the lower dome cluster spacers & screws; to pull it all down.
(To no avail)

Any other thoughts on how to get the rear-most portion of the Instrument Cluster to settle flat in position?
I am tempted to MAYBE unscrew the Lens from the Instrument Cluster; but am hesitant.

Before I snap off another side dome screw portion (GRRRR….) thought I should ask y’all….

Thanks!
