Re: [Chrysler300] Gasoline Odor?????????

If like my B you will have a couple of hoses coming off your gas tank, one
of which ties the gas filler inlet to the tank itself and a somewhat smaller
hose. Also if you lift up your trunk carpet, you would see a plate screwed
onto your tank that allows access to the fuel sensor which activates the
dash fuel gauge. Anyone of these could be leaking.

I found on my B the first time that I filled it years ago that I ended with
a puddle of gasoline under the gas tank. The fix was the fuel sensor plate
seal.

Also check where fuel line from engine goes into the tank.

Hi Everyone in Chrysler Land!

Have a 59 E I bought restored some several months ago. Just got around to
filling up the gas tank for the first time (boy, that wasn't cheap)!!!!!
Anyway, when I got home, parked her in the garage, and came out the
following
morning, I smelled a very strong gasoline odor! Suffice it to say, I have
no
intention of lighting a cigar out there! Any thoughts or suggestions?

Tom
