Re: [FWDLK] Another spring question

Nick,

You also have the continental kit, that adds weight way in the back.  I think 5 should be fine. There is also the air shock option to handle the extra weight of the beer cooler.

You can have the ones out of my Dodge,  I can have them out in about 15 minutes.  They are already painted with POR-15.  I can  toss your old ones in it or I will just go ahead and buy the new ones now.  I think they are good,  the ride height was always good, even before I took it apart.

One thing is strange though,  the leafs on one side are a bit thicker then the ones on the other side. the same number of leafs but the thickness of the leafs is different.   The only thing I can think of is that one side was changed somewhere along the way.

Getting ready to order new springs for my 56 Savoy. Then Espo gives me the choice of 4, 5 or 6 leaf springs.
I believe my stock ones are 4 leaf. But they are so worn out, I can't really judge if I should get 4 leaf or 5 leaf.
I'm leary about getting them too stiff and having the car ride hard.

My initial idea was to get 4 leaf and add a helper that would kick in when I loaded the trunk down with tools, beer, etc.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Nick
