I am totally unqualified to respond to your question, but perhaps I will jog
someone's memory here:
seems like one has to drain the torque converter via the little drain plug
before it will let loose?
I dont know what I am remembering here, other than it was so difficult for a
non-mechanic like me to separate trans from engine, that I now keeep the
engines and trans together when I take them out of the car (which I probably
will never do again anyway)
