I highly recommend Gunk's "Carburetor Dip". It comes in a one-gallon paint can with soaking basket, and is available at most parts houses for around $12-$15. I am continually amazed at how well that stuff cleans metal parts. I keep a "carb" can around, with fresh clean solvent, and then rotate that to be the "parts" can, in which I clean bolts and other miscellaneous parts. The stuff is kind of gooey, like syrup mixed half and half with water, but doesn't have a strong smell and is not caustic to the touch. You put a carb in there for a few hours and it'll come out looking like a new casting. -Dave Greg and Colleen Filtz wrote: > I am in the process of rebuilding my carb and have a quick question.
