Group, I am in the process of rebuilding my carb and have a quick question. I have torn the carb down to the three main components (air horn, body, and valve body). My question is; I have soaked the body in carb cleaner for a couple of hours and have rinsed it with very hot water. There is a chalky residue in some places on the outside of the carb. How do I dress this down? Did I soak it in the carb cleaner too long? Also, there is surface rust on the top layer of some of the vales. Should I attempt to remove this, and if so how would you recommend? As always, thank you for your most considerate replies, Greg Filtz 56 Dodge Royal Lancer
