[FWDLK] NO KICKDOWN ON TORQUEFLITE

Assuming you have proper second geaar operation when driving the lack of
kickdown is caused be a bent or slipped kickdown rod. There are a
hundred different diagrams etc on how to adjust it but here is how we
really do it.
1 Unhook the kickdown rod from the carb.
2 Have an assistant press the accelerator pedal to the floor.(Engine
OFF)
3 With your hand push the kickdown linkage all the way to the rear
4 Adjust the kickdown linkage so it mates up exactly with the wide open
carb and snap it back on.
5 Check to be sure nothing is binding or hitting then start engine and
enjoy.
Kickdown linkage should be wide open or all the way back at the same
time as the carb is.
