Fearless Leader has said that a simple burning of the shoes (with the
shoes removed from the car) via lighter fluid,
etc, will effectively clean them . Brent Burger says that he's
double-boiler boiled the crap from shoe linings.
Also, synthetic rear end lube should not be used on our cars (or, even
on the new-ones, according to a friend's
dealer, on his 300 Heritage model) as it works too well, and escapes
thru seals and gets onto the brakes, which,
on our cars, causes the rear wheels to lock up.

Stopping was a real challenge. I nursed my 56 Fury home and replaced
