[FWDLK] Brake, or lack thereof, problem - Help!

Esteemed List,

Okay, what did I do wrong, or which assumptions were wrong, modifying our 61
Fury to a dual system? I fitted a 69 Roadrunner master cylinder to the car,
shortened the pedal-to-cylinder rod to fit, made the appropriate line mods,
bled the system (yes, the master cylinder was bench bled before put on the
car), and the pedal goes to the floor and it won't "pump up" stiff (even
without the engine running). The car has original power brakes (bellows
type). Assumptions I made:

1. Used manual 69 Roadrunner master cylinder.
2. Could put this in place of existing single cylinder without modifying
bellows assembly.
3. Amount of fluid master cylinder would push is enough to actuate brakes.

Yes, the air is out of the system, I'm sure of that. Any ideas on where I
go from here? Do I actually have to install the total power brake system
from a later 60's Mopar, including diaphram assembly to get it to work
right, and remove the bellows?

The single system is going back on the car this weekend. My wife is getting
tired of me stealing her Blazer!

Thanks!
