Bring them copies of the FSM pages on the Service Brakes. It sounds like they are not familiar with the tapered rear axles. You can probably get drums from Bob H. He knows which drums will fit your car. I suspect it might only be '63 and '64. 

$700 for all that you listed sounds like a bargain!
