There are some internal differences between the controllers from 59 to 69 
which is reflected by the various part numbers for what appears to be 
identical units. I replaced the one on my 63 coupe with a NOS spare I had 
for my 66,  but it didn't work correctly!
I disassembled both units & found that the internal notched slides were 
arranged differently which provided for different sequencing of the vacuum & 
electrical signals. Having several of these units apart on my various 
Chryslers & Imperials now, I've found that internally, the 60-63 units are 
the same, 64-67 are a little different.
Depending on whats broken in your unit they can be repaired.
