Anthony; My recommendation would be to find a good automotive upholsterer, or trimmer as some are called, and have them do the work. Convertible tops are one of those things where there are probably a dozen ways to install it wrong which can cause damage or leaks if you try it yourself without someone guiding you through it. An upholstery might charge around $200 or so but it probably money well spent as he has to back up his work or replace it if he tears your roof while putting it on. I am excited as I always wanted a convertible Imperial. Does anyone have a rear or front bumper that is in descent shape? Also; has anyone ever replaced a convertible top? The car came with a new top but I have never replaced one and wanted to get some information from someone who has.
