Tags rarely lie.  Usually it's people who misinterpret the numbers.  In this
case that would not be surprising as the owner recorded the "C" in the VIN
section of the tag as "6" and the transmission as "O34" instead of "D34".
Plus he missed the letter for the market the car is being built for.  M31 is
for "Belt Mouldings".

Unfortunately, the only way to determine what the "M51" really is would be
to ask the seller to check the tag again or have someone close to the
vehicle check.

Sadly, the data I supply is only as good as the information I am given.
