I've been working on my 1939 C24 Custom Imperial for the last two weeks as time allowed. Major tune up, replaced the distributor, installed a new carburetor etc. Major brake job on lockheed brake system, and if you've never done that job you're in for an education in auto maintenance. I can see the tunnel but have yet to see the light at the end. I get minimal help on the C24 from a few members on the OIC/IML and remain a member primarily due to having made friends with many of the members. It's past midnight at the present and I am old, tired and cranky. The present thread of bigger, longer, heaviest etc. has run its course. If the interest of the IML is Imperial content who cares how long it is? If you are interested in length buy a "Hummer Limousine." This thread is as interesting as a group of fourteen year old's behind the barn or eavesdropping on the ladies sewing circle and I'd bet my sweet bippy it hasn't helped any member in the maintenance of their Imperial. Sorry for the diatribe Folks. Jim. (I feel better now!) http://www.imperialclub.com/yr/1939/limo/martin/index.htm
