Try a trick I use when my 68 does this: Put something opaque over the sun sensor to block it from the direct sunlight. I use my wallet, but anything that infrared radiation won't go through should work as well. Works like a charm on the 68. When the sensor is not in direct sunlight, the system works just right, but it sure freezes us out when the sun hits it (very common here in the desert!)
