Well put Hugh.I have got a stable of different machines none of which are
"popular" but who cares. If they were "popular" I would not want them.52
Packard, 49 Merc 3/4 ton v8(love the old flathead), 70 AMC Machine, 70
Newport 2 door ht, 72 Imperial and a whole slew of old Brit and IT
"superbikes"(in their day). Most people don't even know what they are. Most
of my friends think I am nuts. And my family? They wrote me off a long time
ago. That's their problem. I sure have a good time.Like yesterday taking the
kids up the mountain to go snowboarding in the Imperial. It is one of lifes
simple pleasures to stomp all those yuppie mobiles into the dust with an
enormous firebreathing mopar. And those things are all 4 wheel drive. We
just have weight, positrack, power and gonads.Heh, heh.Gotta love it. And
just for fun spin some donuts in the huge ice and snow covered parking lot
at the resort. Some people never grow up.Actually had my AMC Machine running
a few weeks ago and found myself doing high speed power slides down the
streets.Little bit of snow and moisture makes it easy. Pure fun. For me
anyway. My two cents. Say no more as I may incriminate myself. By the way I
am about to install an AVS on the Imperial to replace the dreaded Holley
4160 and I am wondering what type of choke control did the AVS utilise? The
AVS has a vacuum choke pull off but there must be a temp related control
also.
