'67 Lenses

 Not only do most polyurethane's turn yellow after they dry but when they
get old they often turn a shade of green. Polyurethane is also not immune to
breaking down with age especially when it is outside, if it was then cars
would never need repainting. It is also debatable what exactly the solvents
in it would do to the plastic underneath. If those reproduction lenses that
Mr. Pitinaro sells are made out of the right plastic then there shouldn't be
any problem with fade or deterioration from U.V.. Someone may know a lot
more about polys then I do but I have never heard of anything that plastic
lenses could be protected with other then wax.
