Hello all, Just wanted to thank Elijah Scott for posting the pictures from the ACN. It sure is nice to have someone with Elijah's computer and internet skills to document our events and activities. Additionally, I would also like to thank Elijah again for the fine job he did building the web pages and documenting the Chattanooga Meet from earlier this summer. As for Carlisle, PA, there was an impressive array of Imperials at this year's ACN. Got the chance to talk with a number of folks from the list and look at some really fine Imperials. I was most impressed with the '62 convertible and the '58 Imperial LeBaron. However, I enjoyed seeing all the cars and meeting their owners. I finally got to meet Jan Witte. He is the lucky owner of not 1 but 2 Ghia limos. Both of his cars have an interesting history, and he is planning to bring them -- yes, both of them -- to next year's ACN! I will not miss that no matter what! Mr. Whitten is diligently working, lobbying, and arm twisting the folks at the AACA to designate all Ghia Imperial Limousines as Full Classics. I hope he is successful in his efforts, as the cars are indeed worthy of such a distinction. I think such a move would elevate the desirability of all Imperials in the coming years. He is also considering driving one of his Ghias all the way from New York to Alabama for the Fall Packard & Imperial Meet in Anniston. I am not going to miss that event either! While I am on the subject, if you have not already made plans to attend the Fall Packard & Imperial Meet, do so now. This event is hosted by the Alabama Packard Club in the Spring and Fall of every year, and at least for me, they are the highlight of my Imperial events for the year. Donald Taccone and Debbie Brown do a really fine job hosting the event, so mark your calendars now for the weekend of September 21.
