I blew a ballast resistor on my 67 today. I have
converted it to the later electronic ignition. I bypassed the resistor to
limp it home. Are balast resistors needed to protect the ECU and the coil or
just the coil. I have an aftermarket coil that can be run without a resistor, so
if it wont hurt the ecu, then I will leave it out.
