My LeBaron had always bad idle ever since I got it. I have tried adjusting
the idle mixture screws a few times, with no luck. Last night I noticed
that the left exhaust pipe is much warmer than the right. That probably
indicates that one of the carb idles is running real rich (cool side) and
the other real lean. My question is, which side of the carb affects witch
cylinder bank? If I enrich the left screw, am I really enriching the right
cylinder bank or the left? My guess is the former, but I am curious if
anybody know better.
Next week I will try to pull our exhaust gas analyzer and see what the
mixture strength is from each side.
Thanks
