Neal, I just put KYB (I believe those are what you're
referring to) on my '67, and they gave a MARKED
improvement- much less wallow and float, better
handling, etc.
Unfortunately, your '83 will never ride like a '67,
just because it is a much lighter car with a shorter
wheelbase. Replacing the shocks will help, however.
Check out www.kyb.com (I think that's their site...or
do a google search for KYB Shocks) and you can find a
distributor. Or, if you aren't feeling handy, they
list a bunch of places that will install them.
