Below is a repsonse from my neighbor, who was
around then, had for your problem. He thought it was Autolite brand in a
subsequent EMAIL. If Henry had the pieces of your old one he could
probably make you one. Does anyone else have any other
suggestions?

Matt, my memory is not that specific but some of
the old chryslers had a fitting at the top of the coil that screwed in the top
of the coil and held the coil wire in place. If a sample were available one
could be made. Or a coil could be used for the demensions to make a
wire retainer to fit. Henry.

Do you have any thoughts. These are
extremely rare I would imagine.

Subject: IML: 2nd request on ignition coil cap
To all members of imperial
club. Can anyone help me?? My 26 Imperial (first year) is in need
of a remy ignition coil cap. Ive looked for three years now and can't
find one. What I need is for some one to take a picture of one in a
major show, like hershy pa. Of course there are shows. The cap
fits flush aginst the coil on the firewall above engine, tried Chrysler,
and they dont even have one in there museum. (thats a shame) In 29
remy merger with delco and GM got every thing. They claim a lot of the
old stock was destroyed. No help there. Please see if you can find
a 26 or 27 chrysler imperial mdl 80. Engine is a straight 6, and
looks like it should be in a tractor. but full out did 91 mph, Highway
Patrol gave me the info on my speed. thank you
joe
