My '58 colleague Denis asked a question I wanted to hear the answers to,
about upgrading the points system on the 392 Hemi our cars are endowed with.
I wonder if he, like me, did not get the answers he was looking for.
I was expecting to hear about "Petronics" (Pertronix? - Hopefully whoever
knows about it can spell it, too!) This is, as I understand it, a superior
version of points, which removes or greatly eases keeping one's engine
properly timed. As the Hemi is particularly sensitive to bad timing, and
access to the distributor is difficult for the best of us, I am strongly
considering this myself, if I had more details.
Sorry if I am hi-jacking your question, Denis. If I am then let my own
stand on its own rather wobbly legs.
