Yes, the Imperial Oil Company still exists in Canada. They market Esso gasoline. The name "Imperial" has been downplayed in advertising over the years, with "Esso" having the dominate play. This sign is not done in the lettering or style the Imperial Oil Compan ever used in Canada. It does look more like the typestyle Chrysler used for the Imperial car.
