Hi gang, Maybe I'm too young to have been around when this sign was in service, but I know that there are a lot of items up for auction IMPERIAL related, but not necessarily "Chrysler Imperial". Try typing "Imperial" without the "Chrysler" into the ebay search windows and see what you get! In Canada there was (is?) a line of Imperial gas stations. Who's to say that this sign isn't from a chain of service centers named Imperial? Maybe even the service bay of the Imperial gas station itself? By the style of lettering, (IF this is related to Chrysler's Imperial) I'd say late 40s to late 50s on the era. Remember the 60s and 70s IMPERIAL lettering had the slant-leg of the "R" extending below the bottom of the other letters. Can anybody in our group confirm this "IMPERIAL SERVICE" sign is related to the Imperial automobile? Imperial regards to all, Jay Mc Kee '62 Crown Four-Door Southampton
