44 Fuel pump off... uh oh

This is a new one on me, Mike. Why don't you try it by putting your car on
a rotisserie, and then rotating it until the rod doesn't fall by itself,
then you can report to us on the angle required.

We could take bets on this. My guess would be approximately 82 degrees
clockwise (viewed from the front) ought to do it!

My advice would be to open your doors and windows first, so that you can
skip vacuuming out your floors the next time you clean up the car -
everything having slid out the driver's side onto the floor. Probably you
should make sure your gas tank is less than 1/2 full, and that your
crankcase and power steering reservoir are empty, too.

It occurs to me that you could accomplish the same result by obtaining one
of the show turntables as used at the auto shows, and modify the turning
motor (I suggest Pertronix ignition modules, a hot cam, and Flow-master
exhaust) so that it will turn a sufficient RPM to spin your car at about
1.5G lateral acceleration. Of course you'll have to ride along, and be
prepared to push the rod up and install the fuel pump during the ride. The
same cautions about loose debris in the car, and contents of fluid
reservoirs apply here too. I'd add, you'd best take some Dramamine before
attempting this method.
