fuel pump rotisserie

> This is a new one on me, Mike. Why don't you try it

Why Dick, if I didn't know better I'd say you were
making fun of my suggestion! *grin*

I had a good laugh (at my expense) at your email,
nonetheless, the physics of my idea are sound
(Dimitris, help me here!). If the car is level, the
rod might hang at a downward angle of, say, 60
degrees. If you rotate the car (not using a
rotisserie, but by parking on the side of a hill or
jacking up the side of the car) by 10 or 15 degrees,
you have just decreased gravity's pull on the rod to
9.8*[sin(60-10)] [assuming 10 degrees rotation] That
may be just enough for the aforementioned grease to
hold the rod, or for the rod to slide out less
quickly, enabling Mr. Frustrated Mechanic to get the
pump up in time.

:-P
